Improved column display in tables
With the release of Goobi 1.4.9, users could partly modify the way visible columns are displayed both in “My tasks” and in the process overview. In task view, this affects the following columns:
- ID
- Process date
- Blocks
In the process overview, the changes apply to:
- Selection boxes
- ID
- Process date
- Blocks
- Swapping out
Batch tasks for selection
If the ID column is displayed in the process overview, it is now possible to select individual processes for which a batch job is to be run.
However, actions can only be applied to the selected process if the ID column is displayed.
Imports from the files system
Using GoobiScript, it is now possible to import image folders from the file system into previously created processes. The first step is to filter the required processes within the process list (or by using the selection boxes). Next, select “GoobiScript” from the list of possible actions and enter the following details (modified for the current system):
action:importFromFileSystem sourcefolder:/var/oldWorkspace/myImportFolders.
Precursor version of module interface
The xml Rpc interface for Goobi was introduced in version 1.4.9 and implemented in Göttingen for two initial modules. The precursor version did not yet include:
- monitoring of long-running modules with subsequent status reports in a central module administration
- evaluation of status reports from modules
- persistence of currently running modules for server restart purposes.
