User configuration

• Extension of individual settings for each user with previous table size options supplemented by choice of css style, logout time, etc.

User filtering

• User filtering via text field as for processes
• Option to hide inactive users

Opac requests

• Opac beautifier to simplify Opac conversion of ugh classes. A number of xml elements from the Opac result can now be used to help evaluate structure types and metadata. (opac.xml)
• Free configuration of Opac catalogues via xml (opac.xml)
• Generic publication types to replace previous specification of monographs, multi-volume source works and periodicals (opac.xml)

Processes

• New processes can now only be created if at least one user has been assigned as the process manager for each step of the template.
• Linking of Wiki filter documentation
• GoobiScript for creating rulesets
• Saving and DMS exports can now be specified as METS through the project configuration.
• Distinct result sets when searching for template details
• The list of process templates now shows if they contain steps for which no users or user groups have as yet been assigned.
• Any change in the process title is now implemented automatically throughout (properties, Tiff header, xml file).
• The process title is checked for invalid characters before it is added.

Tasks

• Option to display only the user’s own steps in the list of current steps
• Simple filtering based on user’s own accepted tasks or open tasks
• Filter documentation linked in Wiki
• Option to prioritise problem resolution messages
• Display can now be adapted below the “My tasks” list to show/hide modules.
• A new button next to process title takes users directly to details of the process. Although this is particularly useful for the “Process management” and “Administration” user groups, all other users can select the button to display details of the process without first having to search for it.
• Instead of reloading the entire page following changes to the sequence and status of individual steps, only the area of the page concerned is updated using Ajax.

GoobiScript

• GoobiScript released as an option for managing selected processes
• GoobiScript can be applied to processes after filtering.
• Templates now in place for all existing GoobiScripts
• A list of available GoobiScripts is shown above the input field; clicking one of these scripts will insert the corresponding template into the input field, which can then be modified accordingly.
• Clicking on “Selection”, “Hits for this page” or “Full set of hits” will apply the GoobiScript to the corresponding processes.
• New GoobiScripts (swapProcessesIn and swapProcessesOut) for temporary swapping out of processes to other directories in order to create additional storage space; if a user accesses the metadata for a swapped out process, that process is automatically returned to the original location.
• New GoobiScript (deleteStep) to delete workflow steps for selected processes
• New GoobiScript (setStepStatus) to set the status of workflow steps for selected processes

Metadata

• Unblock button for the user’s own blocks (e.g. if Goobi is running in a second browser window)
• Last page displayed in the structure tree
• Text field size increased in the metadata editor
• Control options when sorting metadata elements for the ruleset
• Metadata types are now distinguished in the metadata so that in the case of individual roles only the permitted roles can be selected and persons are not listed in the metadata.
• Image scaling for grey and colour images now modified to a uniform size (e.g. bitonal)
• More meaningful specifications in the metadata editor: expanded tree, page allocation via Ajax, image display
• General trimming of all metadata before saving

Task manager for long-running tasks

• The first version of the new task manger is now in productive use with the tasks swapProcessesOut and swapProcessesIn (i.e. swapping process into or out of external directories to create additional storage space).
• Fully automated processing of long-running tasks that have been moved there by a GoobiScript
• Task sequence can be changed during operation.

Export

• New DMS import with differentiated folder information
• Images and the xml file can now be copied to different folders.
• As a result, success and error folders can now be configured separately.
• If required, the files being copied can be copied to a higher-level folder with the name of the process.

Configuration changes

• Goobi’s main configuration file now called GoobiConfig.properties (previously Konfiguration.properties)
• The project elements in the project configuration file projects.xml are now referred to as “project” with an attribute “name” for the project title (written in exactly the same way), e.g. instead of the previous one.
• New configuration for Opac catalogues opac.xml. All catalogues and the document types are specified here; however, this does not replace the simultaneous configuration within the ruleset for converting the Opac result into a METS or Rdf file.
• Modification of individual header row in GoobiConfig.xml using html
• Introduction of Opac catalogue configuration for free document types
• Beautifier added to Opac catalogue configuration to revise the xml Opac result if required

Resolved issues

• Projects can no longer be deleted if they still contain processes.
• Correction to Opac beautifier: comparisons now made using regular expressions.
• Correction to frequency validation of individual roles
• Linking to the home directory from the admin perspective is now prevented if a process step is being worked on and has write access to the images.
• Correction to an Ajax bug in the metadata mask using Firefox 3
• Correction to Opac beautifier: the beautifier is now called directly after the Opac request rather than at a later stage.
